I cannot believe I am still consuming the memories I had in Boston last summer. To stick through the draining days of being a teacher from 6a.m. to 6p.m., I sought shelter at these independent coffee shops (with wifi, of course, so I could still finish my work on time).
📍Fenway
是一家越南咖啡馆，也有吃饭的，wifi很快，新老口味的咖啡都有，完全不带踩雷的！
Phinista Cafe is MY FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP IN BOSTON, not even one of. Their staff are friendly, have great styles, and are always taking amazing photos to advertise their coffee shop. You can get a taste of a diverse range of Vietnamese coffee here, including Saigon Phin, Cafe Ube, as well as more common types of coffee. Their crepes and Vietnamese food are also super tasty and reasonably priced! The interior is bright, cozy, and simplistic.
2. Cafe Zing
📍Somerville (Porter Square)
开在书店里的一家独立咖啡馆，咖啡口味都很不错，也有带咖啡因的各种茶，小点心也很多，每天还有1块钱的打折点心，很可爱的装修，不过偏贵
This cafe is right next to the school I worked at (It is at the Red Line Porter station), so I went there almost every work day. The uniqueness about this coffee shop is that it is located in an independent bookstore (Porter Square Books). Their matcha latte is caffeinated, smooth and aromatic. They also offer rollback scones, muffins, and baguettes for under 3 dollars every day. They offer a little punch card for you, too, with which you can get a free drink after punching 12 times!
3. Cafe Nero

波士顿的一家连锁咖啡店，种类齐全，感觉奶味/甜味没有星巴克重，个人感觉更提神，环境很舒服，是暗棕色和蓝色混合的一种风格
This is a chain coffee shop in Boston, but I would say it is much more classy and “independent” than Starbucks. They offer all kinds of coffee drinks with less flavor of milk and sugar than Starbucks does. The interior is mostly blue and dark brown, offering a sense of coziness.

一家店面很小的咖啡店，包装特别精致，每杯咖啡上都会有一朵小花，价格比较贵，也非常苦哈哈哈
A tiny coffee shop, The Sipping Room does not give up on its quality. Although it is a bit pricey, each coffee comes with a unique cup holder and a dry flower. Very romantic!
📍Brookline
一家专注卖crepe的咖啡店，感觉总体味道偏甜，但是还是很好吃好喝的！环境温馨，有高速wifi
This is a small coffee shop hiding inside Brookline. With a specialty in crepes, it represents a classic American coffee shop: dark brown color, booth seating, chalk menu on blackboards…What surprised me was that they actually provide a high-speed wifi. The price is very reasonable, and food is okay.
6. Neesfeed
📍Newbury / Boston Public Library
在波士顿公共图书馆里面的一家咖啡馆，没有什么环境可言，就像是大商场里面的开放式咖啡馆，价格比较贵，咖啡非常苦、很提神
This is an open-space cafe inside Boston Public Library, so as you expected, it is pricey and crowded. But the coffee there is really awakening, and the sweets there are energizing, too — all serving your best study experience.
7. Tatte

可以说是波士顿最受欢迎的连锁brunch店了。基本上我路过的每一家在周末上午都是人满为患，当然咖啡也是非常好喝，我还没有尝试过那里的餐食，但看上去都很好吃
This is probably the most popular chain store in Boston — every time I walk past one on a weekend morning, it is crowded. Coffee is very delicious, but I haven’t tried to food there — judging from appearance, they offer a wide range of food from diverse cultures and they seem tasty.
8. In a Pickle
📍Waltham
一家很可爱的美式装修brunch店，感觉食品比较一般，而且非常不健康/美式（比如M&M’s pancakes…)，但是咖啡量很足，就是drip coffee，也不贵，喜欢这家店的绿色系装修
I admit, this one is a bit faraway from Boston proper – but there are buses and trains from Boston proper to Waltham! In a Pickle is a very popular, classic American brunch restaurant. If you are looking for elegance, though, this might not be the best place — it represents a more decent version of Denny’s or Waffle House. I was a bit appalled by the amount of sugar and oil the food there has, but it is just American cuisine — pancakes with M&M’s, ice cream waffles, biscuits, fried chicken, etc. Their coffee is of ample amount and is quality drip coffee. I would definitely recommend trying out their coffee, and it is not expensive at all!
📍Waltham
这家店应该也是连锁的，但是我不知道除了在Waltham还有在哪里。一家装修风格很小清新的咖啡店，无功无过，感觉拿铁味道有点淡，但是环境很好
Common Good Co. is a chain store with one of its locations by the Waltham harbor. Its interior design is spacious, bright, and wooden – classic 21st-century cafe style. Their latte is a bit bland, and the wifi is not the most stable, though, but their seating is super comfortable.
10. Jaho Coffee Roaster & Wine Bar
📍Salem
离Salem的中央车站很近。这家咖啡店装修很可爱，卫生间的钥匙还是一个小茶壶呢！咖啡每个季节都会出新款，基本款咖啡也都有，价格偏贵（毕竟在景区），贝果也很好吃哦
This cafe is only a five-minute walk from the Salem commuter rail station. Thus, located in a touristy area, it is a bit expensive, but it is worth it because their coffee and bagels are fantastic. Every season, they have new coffee flavors that come out, too! Worth a visit if you’re looking for some energy supplements while you’re exploring the witch town.
